THE NEW SCHOOL

I like this school very much. They have many available dates and slots for exam. If someone is going through deadline with Ausländerbehörde, this school will give you quick available exam slots. And they also prepare the student with guidance sessions before exam even if student just booked exam. All guidance they give are clear and easy to understand and timely. I want to book my next level exams also with them.

I took my Prüfung here. Very happy with the facilities provided for the digital exam. The invigilator and and the sprechen invigilators were nice and cordial. Anyone wanting to take the digital exam- I’d recommend this place. Thank You DNS :)

I didn't take a course here, only my TELC exam. However, I had good impressions, everyone involved were kind and helpful. My only problem was, that the oral exam was right after the written part, but we were not told when exactly, so had to wait more then an hour. As the whole process started at 9, and I finished at 2.30 and couldn't eat during, I was starving. Other then that, highly recommended!

I did a 2 weeks B1.2 Deutsch Bildungsurlaub here, and would strongly recommend. The course was well organised, the classes were small, and the teachers were excellent.

I took my Telc B1 digital exam at this school and had a great experience. Everything went smoothly, and I got my results in less than two weeks. The whole process and communication were very smooth.

UPDATE May 2023: In 2020, 3 years after my original review on Maps, the Die Neue Schule asks me (through Google) to remove this review. I sent them evidences that I attendend the class like invoice / certificate and they didn't remove the review. In 2023, 6 years later, the Die Neue Schule's lawyers asks me again (through Google) to remove this review. I sent them the same documents that proof I attended the class and they didn't remove the review. Original Review: [Aug. 2017] I just attended a 2-weeks (31 Jul./11 Aug. 2017) English intensive course at the Neue Schule. While I found the morning lesson pretty interesting with TED, the conversation class in the afternoon with WILLA (which I had been looking for a lot) seemed to be a complete waste of time to me. On my first day I didn't learn anything new or stimulating. I felt very bored and not really involved in the lesson. The teacher didn’t seem to have a proper structure either, she didn’t correct any pronunciation mistakes nor did she properly guide the conversations in any way. This is why I decided to send an e-mail to the school just on the same afternoon. I told them my impression and my state of mind. They replied to me after 24h, saying that the person in charge had not yet been in the office. Then nobody replied to me anymore. On the second day, the conversation class was even worse than on day 1. This time also two of the other students accompanied me to speak to someone from the reception. They suggested us to directly clarify the matter with the respective teacher and try to find a solution ourselves. Does that make sense to you? This way, we somehow lost two days of important conversation time and while nobody from the staff felt responsible to handle our problem and take care of our complaint. Thus, I decided not to attend the conversation class anymore on day 3. I even talked to the head of the school about it, but she didn't want to listen to me. I asked to get a refund, which she declined, not offering any alternative. Having remained very disappointed by this bad service I highly recommend you not to book a course at this school.

I prepared and did the B1 exam with DIE NEUE SCHULE. Isabel, my teacher, did a great job not only preparing me for the exam but also improving my communication and make progress with my German overall. She was very attentive to my mistakes, gently pushing me to systematically fix them rather than just tell me the right way. I enjoyed my experience there, would love to continue learning later.
